This Privacy Policy explains how Gravesite Guide handles information when you visit this website. We are committed to keeping data collection to a minimum and to being transparent about how the site works.
Information We Collect
Gravesite Guide is a static archive. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask you to submit personal information in order to browse the site. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the date and time of each request. This information is used only to operate and secure the site and to understand aggregate usage.
Data Sources
The content of this archive is compiled from publicly available records: Wikidata (CC0), the Wikipedia article “List of African American cemeteries”, and the National Park Service National Register of Historic Places bulk data export of May 22, 2026, together with a stylesheet served from this site's own /_astro/ directory and two web fonts (Cormorant Garamond and Inter) requested from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. No other script, cookie or third-party service is loaded by any surviving page, and the archive holds no private personal data about living individuals.
Children's Privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
